Bruce Rauner will be moving on to face Governor Pat Quinn in the general election, but the race was closer than most expected. He defeated Senator Kirk Dillard by about 16-thousand votes, or two percentage points in the Republican primary. With the win, Rauner says he’s ready to shake things up in Springfield.
In fact, Governor Quinn has already launched an ad against Rauner, attacking him on his position on minimum wage. Rauner will also have to fight the unions who dumped hundreds-of-thousands of dollars into the primary to keep him out of office. Still, Rauner is confident he'll be putting Quinn out of a job in November.
