Illinois State Police and the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department raided the police department in Brooklyn yesterday afternoon. The two agencies report they were acting on information provided to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney about missing evidence.
Authorities were reportedly looking for evidence after a former Brooklyn detective was photographed posing with an assault rifle for a department calendar. The rifle was part of evidence previously seized by the department. The gun, along with ammunition and drugs are allegedly still missing.
