A local water park is stepping up to help residents in the area learn how to be safe in the water. Raging Rivers Water Park in Grafton will be among the hundreds of facilities participating in the fifth annual World’s Largest Swim Lesson on Friday. The event is designed to raise awareness about water safety and drowning prevention among children according to Raging Rivers WaterPark General Manager Donna Smith.

The cost to participate in the 30-minute lesson is $10 per person and space is limited to the first 200 people who register. Smith says those who participate in the lesson will also be allowed to remain in the park for the rest of the day for no additional cost.
