Illinois Governor Pat Quinn still has a small lead over his Republican opponent Bruce Rauner in the latest poll from the Chicago Sun Times. Forty-four percent of perspective voters say they support Quinn, while 41-percent say they are behind Rauner. The respondents say Quinn is the one who most understands their everyday concerns.
But it's not all bad news for Rauner. The poll shows he has 19-percent of the support in Chicago. The general rule of thumb is that whoever picks up 20-percent of the vote in Chicago wins the race. Quinn and Rauner held a television debate last night in Chicago.
