Illinois has the second highest unemployment rate in the nation, at nine-point-two percent. Governor Pat Quinn says he's been working hard to put people to work. He says Illinois is second only to the State of Michigan when it comes to creating jobs since the recovery began.
Quinn says Michigan has created about 260-thousand jobs and Illinois about 244-thousand. The governor is meeting with several business leaders while he’s in Japan, with the intentions of bringing more foreign investments to Illinois. He will return to Chicago tomorrow.
