Illinoisans don't approve of the job Governor Quinn is doing. A recent poll conducted by the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute shows only 35-percent of the people think Quinn is doing a good job. Director David Yespen says it is a measure of how grim things are in the state.

He says voters want to see politicians make compromises on important issues like smart grid and gaming in order to get things done. Unfortunately, Yespen says lawmakers are focused on being re-elected so things aren't likely to change until after the March primary.
