The mail processing center in Quincy will be shut down tomorrow.  The U.S. Postal Service has confirmed the shutdown of the facility on 48th Street and Wisman Lane, as part of its effort to save money.  Mail will now be processed at the Springfield, Illinois, St. Louis, Missouri, and Columbia, Missouri locations.

The twenty-seven workers at the facility will be reassigned.  Others have chosen to retire.
