The Illinois Department of Revenue is urging taxpayers not to wait to file their tax returns. Department spokesperson Sue Hofer says more than 2.3-million Illinoisans have already filed their taxes, with more than half getting refunds.
She says bottom line, here’s what you need to do to quickly get your money.

More than 95% of filers so far have filed electronically. Hofer says e-filing also helps eliminate mathematical errors. You can use the state’s own online tax filing system – which you can link to below- or any tax software program.
