The fight for gay marriage is heating up again in Illinois. About five thousand people are expected to show up for a “March on Springfield” at the capital tomorrow, hoping lawmakers will take a vote during their veto session. It seems the measure has been getting more support lately but Illinois House sponsor Greg Harris won’t say how many votes he has right now.
Governor Pat Quinn, U.S. Senator Dick Durbin, Lieutenant Governor Sheila Simon, and Comptroller Judy Baar Topinka are all slated to attend tomorrow’s event.
