Pride, Incorporated, held its annual dinner and meeting on Thursday and honored several local groups, businesses, and individuals for beautification efforts. Cope Plastics, Inc, in Alton received the President’s Award. The Sierra Club and The Nature Institute were honored as Outstanding Citizens for the Cabin Restoration Project at Pere Marquette State Park.
Also honored last night with Awards of Achievement were the Alton Beautification and Clean City Committee, Kohl's of Alton, Lewis and Clark Community College, the SIU Dental School, and Jim and Linda Wickenhauser and the Homeowners Associations of the Oaks at Greystone and the Oaks at Deer Creek. Pride, Incorporated, is an area non-profit beautification organization founded in 1966 to serve the communities of the greater Alton area.
