Members of the Madison County Board from both sides of the political aisle are criticizing Treasurer Kurt Prenzler for his handling of a recent lawsuit.  Former Treasurer's Office employee Linda Dunnagan alleges through a federal lawsuit that she was dismissed in 2013 because she suffered from a life-threatening illness.  A jury sided with her earlier this year.

Prenzler tells The Big Z he never discriminated against her.

It is alleged in a news release from the County Board that Prenzler refused an offer to settle the suit for $60,000, and it may now cost up to $1-million if legal fees and back pay are factored in to the final decision.  Prenzler denies there was ever an offer to settle for $60,000.
