A possible casino merger is on the table for the St. Louis area.  The Missouri Gaming Commission could decide whether to approve the proposed two-point-eight-billion-dollar merger between Pinnacle Entertainment and Ameristar Casinos.  Pinnacle is expected to present its plans for the merger this (Wednesday) morning.

The company would sell several of its buildings, including the Lumiere Place Casino, to comply with Federal Trade Commission regulations.  Pinnacle would own the River City Casino and Ameristar St. Charles under the current proposal.
