A new poll puts Republican Bruce Rauner ahead of Governor Pat Quinn for the state’s top job. According to the "Illinois Mirror, Where America Stands" poll, nearly 46-percent of likely voters would cast a vote for Rauner if the election were today. About 32-percent would vote for Quinn.
But the polls don't always get it right. The last poll before the primary election had Rauner winning by about 17-percentage points. He ended up winning by three.
