Wood River Police are investigating an overnight retail theft at the city’s Wal-Mart Supercenter.  The crime was reported just after 3:30am Wednesday.  Wood River Deputy Chief Dan Bunt tells The Big Z the suspect left with two HP computers wrapped in security spider wrap.

The suspect left in a green Chrysler LeBaron convertible with a tan roof and no license plates.  It was spotted heading north on Illinois Route 111 toward Illinois Route 255.  The suspect is described as a black male between 20 and 30 years of age, about 6’2” tall and about 250 pounds. If you have any information about the case, you are asked to call 618-251-3114.
