In local police reports, a Wood River man is charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm.  20 year old Daniel Elledge of the 200 block of East Acton allegedly fired the weapon in the direction of a police officer who was answering a domestic disturbance call on January 11.

Police in Wood River are also looking for a man wanted for allegedly robbing the Moe’s Corner Gas Station at Edwardsville Road and Wood River Avenue last Sunday morning.  The suspect is described as a thin, white male, around 6 feet tall, in his mid-20’s.  Police say as he approached the counter to make a purchase inside the store, he grabbed money from the cash drawer and ran away on foot.  He was last seen heading northeast and was wearing an orange hooded sweatshirt under a tan coat.  The incident took place around 10:45am.
