Checking local police reports provided this morning to Z-1570, Wood River Police are still investigating the report of an armed robbery from the weekend.  The hold up took place last Saturday at Moe's Corner convenience store in the 800 block of North Wood River Avenue.  Wood River Police report two armed men entered the store and demanded money around 9:50pm on Saturday.  The men allegedly roughed up the single employee in the building and ran off with an undetermined amount of cash.  Police believe the men escaped in a car parked nearby after a canine unit was able to track their scent for a short distance but later lost it.  The only description of the suspects that was provided said they were wearing masks.

The Madison County Sheriff's Department arrested 20 year old Tyler McNew of the 34-thousand block of Teakwood Drive in Brighton on the parking lot of the Godfrey Wal-Mart Store late Sunday night.   Deputies found him asleep in his vehicle and upon contact, found that he had allegedly been drinking alcohol.  McNew was cited for DUI, illegal transportation and unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

There was no one else new reported held during the other local checks from earlier this morning.
