Checking local police reports provided this morning to Z-1570, the Madison County Sheriff’s Department arrested two people following a suspected burglary in rural Edwardsville last week. 31 year old Juanita Harvey, who is homeless, and 42 year old John Gleason of the 2700 block of Grandview in Alton, were charged with burglary after police say they removed property from a residence located in the 6200 block of Route 111 in Edwardsville at property that also houses J and L Salvage. The pair was arrested at a Godfrey motel last Thursday. Harvey was also charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Also arrested was 21 year old Cory Burtz of the 4800 block of Seiler Road in Dorsey for unlawful restraint, domestic battery, endangering the health of a child and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence. The charges following a domestic disturbance call to a home in the 8700 block of Albrecht Road in Staunton last Thursday.
Elsewhere, there was no one new reported held during the other local checks earlier today.
