The reward has been increased for information leading to an arrest in the murder of a man in Macoupin County on New Year’s Day 2015. 34-year-old Cody Adams was found shot to death in his home in Woodburn, and a local Crimestoppers group has increased the reward for information to $10,000.
Witnesses at the time told authorities an armed, masked intruder came into the residence and fought with Adams and other family members. It’s believed the suspect lost a skull style ski mask during the incident. Macoupin County Sheriff Shawn Kahl tells The Big Z while some already knew about the ski mask, they are just now pushing this bit of information to the public:
