Police in Troy report the recovery of more than $10,000 in stolen firearms.  Two adults and four juveniles are in custody in connection with the case that began at a house party in Troy on January 1 and included one of the stolen weapons ending up at a local high school.

Officers in Troy were notified on January 8 of the theft of six firearms that the owner considered being collectors’ items with a value of over $10,000.  Investigators determined the weapons were stolen during a party at the home the week before, and one of the weapons was found by police at Collinsville High School in the possession of a juvenile.  Troy and Collinsville Police continued the investigation and developed evidence that lead them to additional suspects and the recovery of the weapons.  Charged with aggravated possession of stolen firearms are 18 year olds Kameron Garcia and Cole Young, both of Collinsville, and the four juveniles.  All six suspects remain in custody.
