Police in St. Louis are investigating the death of a former Bethalto man who was found injured at a MetroLink station on March 19 and died of his injuries last week. 33-year-old Jordan Taynor was found at the South Euclid Avenue station after police responded to the report of a fight.
When police arrived that afternoon, they found Taynor suffering from a head injury. He apparently spoke to police and emergency workers at the time but did not say he was in a fight. Taynor had no ID on him when he was taken to the hospital and it was several days before family knew of his whereabouts. He succumbed to his injuries on April 1. St. Louis Police detectives are now investigating and reviewing MetroLink security video. So far, there are no suspects in the case. Taynor was a graduate of Civic Memorial High School and had reportedly been living with his mother in Carlinville, but St. Louis Police say Taynor lived in the city near Forest Park.
