Checking local police reports provided this morning to Z-1570, Alton Police announced six local stores have been cited for selling alcohol to a minor.  Police officers, working with two undercover buyers who were ages 18 and 20, visited 22 businesses in the city last week attempting to buy alcohol showing their real ID listing their real age.  The six stores that allegedly sold to the underage buyers were the Schnucks on the Homer Adams Parkway, Elete Package Liquor on Broadway, Quick Stop on College Avenue, the CVS on College Avenue, Parsons Oil and Gas on College and Alton Food and Gas on Broadway.  The clerks selling the alcohol were also cited.

Lodged in the Wood River jail this morning, 55 year old Judy Snyder of Cottage Hills for retail theft.   21 year old James Pritchard of Wood River for theft under $500 and possession of cannabis.

There was no one new being held this morning by East Alton Police.
