Checking local police reports provided this morning to Z-1570, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office reports that charges have been filed against three individuals. 25-year old Kyle D. Carter of the 100 block of Herman Street in East Alton has been charged with felony burglary. He is accused of attempting to steal more than $230 worth of merchandise from the Godfrey Wal-Mart on December 31st, he is being held on a $20,000 bond.

44-year old David R. Hendricks of the 6530 block of Alpha Drive in Godfrey has been charged with felony driving while license revoked following a traffic stop in Alton on December 31st. According to a report from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Hendricks was stopped for speeding in the 5900 block of Wenzel Road in Alton just after 10 a.m. A computer inquiry revealed his license was revoked due to a 2009 conviction for D.U.I. He was issued a citation for speeding and taken into custody and is being held on a $35,000 bond.

33-year old Tamara R. Thrash of the 4800 block of Sandy Court in Alton has been charged with misdemeanor D.U.I, resisting a peace officer and four other traffic citations after she allegedly struck an unattended vehicle and it’s driver in Cottage Hills and fled from the scene. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office reports that Thrash struck a parked vehicle in the 1420 block of 3rd Street in Cottage Hills with her gold Dodge Caravan and fled the scene just after 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The vehicle was later found parked at a residence and Thrash was contacted by deputies. Trash failed field sobriety tests and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol according to the report. After being informed that she was under arrest, Thrash allegedly pulled away from deputies. She was taken into custody for resisting a peace officer, and issued citations for driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, failure to give information after striking an unattended vehicle, operating an uninsured vehicle and operating a vehicle when registration suspended for no insurance. Thrash was held on a $200 cash bond.
