An incident about a week ago in North St. Louis County has local police advising motorists to stay aware of their surroundings. A driver was robbed at gunpoint after the thief ran into the victim's car when the driver was stopped on Lindbergh at Highway 367 in North County.
The robbery happened as the two drivers were exchanging infomation at the intersection. It's called the bump and run, according to Alton Police Chief David Hayes.
He says if you suspect you may have been targeted for a bump and run, stay in your car, get on your phone to the police, and keep your doors locked.
