The Village of Godfrey will wrap up repair of the streets in Piasa Hills following the massive infrastructure upgrade that brought sewer service to the area.  The first third of the repair project was completed in 2011, and the final third is should be finished over the next several months.  This week, the village put the reconstruction of Valley Drive and Vollmer Lane out for bid.

The Piasa Hills Sewer Project caused significant damage to the roads in that subdivision, so it has been a priority as the money becomes available, according to Godfrey's Director of Maintenance, Jim Lewis:

Weather permitting; Lewis says it will be done by the end of the year.  If all goes well, he hopes the project will start by the first of October.
