Getting your kid vaccinated could be as easy as taking a trip to your local pharmacy.  A new law signed this week by Illinois Governor Pat Quinn allows pharmacist to administer flu shots and other vaccinations to kids as young as ten so long as they have a doctor’s prescription.

The previous age limit was 14.  Illinois Department of Public Health Director Lamar Hasbrouck says the law comes just in time, especially as flu season approaches.

Hasbrouck comments

It takes effect immediately.
