If you have at least a bachelor’s degree but are looking to add to your skill set, there is a new pilot program being offered at Lewis & Clark Community College in Godfrey. You may be eligible for a Pell Grant, as part of an effort launched through the U.S. Department of Education. Lewis & Clark has been chosen to as a pilot site for the program.
Angela Weaver, director of Financial Aid at Lewis and Clark, says the program is not well known yet, as it has just begun.

Eligible students will be randomly chosen for this pilot program by the Department of Education and must plan to begin their program at Lewis and Clark any time beginning in 2014.
Serving the areas of Alton, Godfrey, East Alton, Wood River, Roxana, Edwardsville, Jerseyville, Brighton, Bethalto, Grafton, Granite City, Hartford, Highland, Troy, Fairview Heights, Belleville and the surrounding cities.
