United Way's annual Community Christmas donation drive kicks off one week from today and organizers are reaching out to businesses and other organizations in hopes of finding a few last minute partners. Last year, the United Way placed 117 boxes in the community and Communications Associate Natasha Sakovich says they hope to surpass 100 boxes again this year.
She says it's really easy to become a partner.
Sakovich says that donations can include non-perishable food items, winter clothes and accessories for all ages, blankets, baby care items, hygiene items and toys.
This year's drive starts next Monday, November 4th and runs through Thursday, December 12th. To become a partner, volunteer or learn more about the drive, you can contact the United Way's Southwest Illinois Division at 251-0072.
