Starved Rock State Park, in north central Illinois, could soon become the eighth wonder of the world. It’s up against about 100 worldwide attractions competing for the title, including Cahokia Mounds in Collinsville and the Gateway Arch in St. Louis. The park is tucked away near Oglesby, Illinois and draws about two million visitors each year.
