The Alton Symphony Orchestra will continue its 67th season a week from Saturday with a Holiday concert at 7pm December 10 at Lewis & Clark Community College. The concert will feature the music from the final act of Tchaikovsky's masterpiece, The Nutcracker.
Orchestra Maestro Leon Burke says the program will feature other holiday favorites as well as an audience sing along.
The annual silent basket auction will be presented at intermission. Founded in 1945, the Alton Symphony Orchestra is one of only a few organizations dedicated to the performance of live symphonic music in the southern Illinois region. Tickets for the show are available at the door. For more information go to www.altonsymphony.org
