The Alton Symphony Orchestra continues its 67th season Saturday with a Holiday concert at 7pm at Lewis & Clark Community College. The concert will feature the music from the final act of Tchaikovsky's masterpiece, The Nutcracker.

Orchestra Maestro Leon Burke (pictured) says the program will feature other holiday favorites as well as an audience sing along. He is especially excited, however, about the Nutcracker, Act 2

Burke comments

The annual silent basket auction will be presented at intermission. Founded in 1945, the Alton Symphony Orchestra is one of only a few organizations dedicated to the performance of live symphonic music in the southern Illinois region. Tickets for the show are available at the door.
