The wet weather these last two months is setting records in Illinois.  Plenty of rain in July and August probably has your lawn looking better than it ever has this time of year.  State Climatologist Jim Angel says this has been the wettest July through August period on record in Illinois.

Angel says rainfall was above average statewide except for a small corner in northeastern Illinois.  Southern Illinois has received 12 - 15 inches more rain than normal during July and August.
