The launch of a new fish processing plant in Grafton is dealing with yet another hurdle.  The original plan to catch and process Asian Carp for sale as a delicacy to the Chinese was scrapped in February in favor of a plan sell to mostly domestic interests.  That was supposed to get the plant up and running quicker, but as Grafton Mayor Tom Thompson explains, there was one more issue that no one saw coming.

Thompson comment

Thompson says all other major issues have been taken care of and financing is in place, so he expects to see equipment moving into the facility now that the tribe has signed off on this latest bit of paperwork.  The owners will be using a renovated building that was formerly used to store apples at the former Uncle Andy's Orchard on Illinois State Route 3.
