The entire University of Illinois campus will be smoke-free soon, both indoors and outdoors.  The Urbana-Champaign campus already prohibits smoking in public buildings and within 25-feet of entrances, but an overwhelming 2011 student vote in favor of the complete ban set the wheels in motion.  Signs around campus areas where smokers often gather are warning students and University workers about the new rules which take effect January 1st.

Even tailgaters will have to move off the campus to light up.
