A home in Fosterburg was nearly destroyed by fire yesterday. Emergency responders were notified of a fire, in the 4900 block of Columbia Street, just before 9 am. According to authorities, the home was not occupied at the time of the blaze. The home had extensive fire and smoke damage, but no injuries were reported.


The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Fosterburg firefighters were joined by the Godfrey and Brighton fire departments, to help combat the blaze.
