Lawmakers have wrapped up week one of a veto session and it seems very little got accomplished. No votes were taken on gay marriage or pension reform, but a spokesman for Illinois Governor Quinn says all hope isn’t lost. He says the governor has been working behind the scenes on both issues and has had several meetings with lobbyists, activists, and lawmakers.
Quinn is expected to meet with Democratic leaders in the next few days. Lawmakers will be back in session November 5th and could possibly deal with the issues during that week.
