The City of Wood River has agreed to keep rates the same in 2012 at Belk Park Golf Course. Last year, Cloverleaf Golf Course took over the maintenance of the course in a move that was an attempt to save money. Golf Course General Manager and Golf Pro Mike Brasher says that change was a test for the course, as the weather in the spring was very wet, followed by the oppressive heat of mid-summer.

Brasher comments

The agreement with Cloverleaf has two more years on it, with an option for two additional years. The city would like the course to pay for itself in the future. Brasher says they have been lucky to have some "bonus weather" with the mild winter- something he says you cannot always count on. For more information on rates and promotions, go to
