Missouri Governor Jay Nixon has called in the Missouri National Guard to help quell the nighttime violence in the city of Ferguson.  The town has been at the center of protests, looting and violence since the shooting death of 18 year old Michael Brown at the hands of a police officer on August 9.

A curfew was put into place again from midnight to 5am today, but just after 9pm Sunday someone in the crowd threw Molotov cocktails at St. Louis County Police Officers who were on the scene.  There were also reports of shots fired within the crowd with one person suffering a minor injury and it was then the police decided to clear the streets. Reporter Nicole Wilson of Metro Networks says it all changed last night when police were attacked again:

Police in riot gear tossed tear gas into the crowds gathered along West Florissant Road.  There were also reports of some looting again last night against nearby businesses.   Many protestors insisted they do not want those who are looking for a fight to be a part of their group.  As a result of the continued unrest, classes have been cancelled again today for students in the Ferguson-Florissant School District.
