Deer, coyotes and raccoons can be seen in the forests and, possibly, your back yard. The Illinois Department of Natural Resources has teamed with the University of Illinois Extension to create a website to educate you about situations where you unexpectedly encounter wildlife.

“It’s a very useful resource for anyone in the state who is interested in how to prevent wildlife damage to their property,” Tim Schweizer, spokesman for the DNR, said. “Or if they have wildlife in and around their yard, how to interact with that wildlife, so that the wildlife can thrive and people aren’t inconvenienced.”
