Godfrey is seeking a PEP Grant through Madison County to help fund the construction of a new restroom facility at Glazebrook Park.  Eight contractors attended a pre-bid meeting last month, and bids were opened earlier this week.  Godfrey Mayor Mike McCormick was pleased when the envelopes were opened.

The winning bid was from Jun Construction at $289,000, well under the estimate of $350,000.  He says this is a unique project for the area.

He hopes for a ground breaking on the project in April, in anticipation of opening in time for ball season this year.
