Anyone between the ages of 14 and 21 that is considering becoming a cop can learn more through a new organization. The Metro East Cadets of Policing is being announced as a program for young men and women interested in learning more about a possible career in policing. It’s being based out of the Fairview Heights Police Department.
The program is now taking applications, and will officially kick off activities in November. Fairview Heights Police Lieutenant Michael Hoguet tells The Big Z this is similar to the Explorer programs offered through many high schools.
