It should be a quick turnaround from empty space to fully functioning warehouse and light manufacturing at the Alton Center Business Park. Challenge Unlimited through its subsidiary, Advanced Outsource Solutions, will be converting more than 41,000 square feet of the existing structure into new business space.
Greg Caffey, Alton Director of Development and Housing, expects they will be up and running by the end of the year.

This will eventually result in about 100 jobs. Many of those will be geared toward the mentally and physically challenged. The Alton City Council will consider a redevelopment agreement with the company next week, with $426,000 in TIF money going toward the $1.7-million total estimated cost.
