Flowers and pink hunting clothes are some of the latest measures filed by members of the Illinois House. Democratic Representative Jerry Costello filed House Bill 4337 Friday that would authorize certain hunters to wear solid blaze pink colored clothing in addition to the already allowed blaze orange colored clothing. Meanwhile Democratic Representative Katherine Cloonen’s House Bill 4338 would change the state flower from the native violet to the Kankakee Mallow.
Both measures have been filed with the clerk. Also filed Friday is a measure from Democratic Representative Kathleen Willis that would change when a library board of trustees must make tax levy information available to the library’s governing body. The House is not back in session until December 2nd.
