A woman who has long been known for donating her time to causes she views as worthy will be recognized for her efforts this spring.  Linda Nevlin recently found out she will receive the "Service Above Self" award from the Alton-Godfrey Rotary Club at its award dinner on April 2.

Nevlin has had a hand in service projects for a number of years, dating all the way back to the early 1970's when she served on the committee that got the bicycle trail on the Great River Road.

She has also stepped down from the First Night Riverbend committee, but says she is leaving it in good hands with John Nell.  Neviln plans to stay active with the Alton Little Theater.  The award dinner will be held the evening of April 2 at the Lockhaven Country Club, and is open to the public.  For more information, click here: www.altongodfreyrotary.org
