A woman from Aurora was one of the eight people who died last week when a U.S. Marine helicopter crashed while on a relief mission in Nepal.  Corporal Sara A. Medina was a combat photographer who had reportedly been in the Marine Corps since 2010.   Her death was confirmed over the weekend.

The helicopter disappeared over a mountain region near Katmandu last Tuesday, and the victims were discovered in the wreckage on Friday and Saturday.  Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff in her honor.
