National Pro Bono Week is next week, and a number of attorneys will be recognized for their work during a luncheon on Tuesday, October 21st in the LeClaire Room on the Lewis and Clark Community College N.O. Nelson campus in Edwardsville. Twenty-four attorneys across Madison County worked with low-income individuals during the months of July, August and September according to Third Circuit Judge Barbara Crowder.
She says it’s a service that is in high demand.

Crowder says attorneys and other local officials are invited to the luncheon but that members of the general public who have been impacted by pro bono may be able to attend as well if space is available.
She also adds that the work of the Third Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee has been recognized by several other circuits who have gone on to create their own Pro Bono Committees.
