In the more than year-and-a-half since human remains were found in the trunk of a car in an Alton neighborhood, speculation has run rampant about the potential identity of the body.  A positive identification is yet to be made, and it could still take a while.  Investigators are still using forensic and DNA evidence to try and figure out who it is.

Alton Police Detective Emily Hejna tells The Big Z they are trying to narrow down the list of possibilities.
