An Alton man has been arrested on numerous drug counts, and had his bail revoked from a previous charge. Police say 20-year-old Michael Williams-Bey posted bail less than a month ago on another drug charge when he was allegedly caught selling drugs again on Monday. He is being held in the Alton Jail following a brief foot pursuit.
During the pursuit and subsequent arrest, one of the officers sustained an arm injury, but remains on active duty. Williams-Bey has been charged with three counts of Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance, one count of Aggravated Battery to a Police Officer, and one count of Resisting a Police Officer. He had been free on bond from a March charge of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.
