After its 30th anniversary ride last weekend, the Bike MS Gateway Getaway Ride has announced it will be leaving Columbia, Missouri and coming to Godfrey.  The two-day ride will start and finish both days at Lewis & Clark Community College in Godfrey.

The event, according to college’s Vice President for Media and Foundation Relations Lori Artis, is the kind of high profile event that will bring notoriety and tourism money to the region.

The college hinted a big event such as this might be announced after it was learned the First Night Riverbend celebration would be coming to an end after a 19 year run.  The ride is scheduled for September 12-13, 2015.
