A South Roxana man who pleaded guilty in the death of his daughter about a year ago ran into more trouble with the law early New Year's Day.  27-year-old Jeremy W. Pride of the 400 block of Pennsylvania Drive is charged with misdemeanor assault after officers responded to the call of a fight in progress.  Last March, Pride pleaded guilty to felony endangering the life of a child for allegedly passing out on top of Callie Pride while under the influence of alcohol on November 13, 2011.  

He was sentenced to 2 1/2 years probation and was ordered to complete alcohol treatment and parenting classes.  Jeremy Pride was legally intoxicated at the time he removed his daughter from her crib to feed her.  The officer responding to the New Year's Day incident at a home in the 300 block of Rose Street reported Pride smelled of alcohol.  Also charged with misdemeanor assault as a result of the incident ius 48-year-old Jerry D. Grant.
