Upcoming roadwork in the Village of Godfrey in the new year will include more work in subdivisions and in some of the more rural areas of the village.  Larger projects that have been approved by local and state transportation officials are on the calendar for 2017 and 2018.

The final stretch of Stamper Lane is slated for completion in 2017, and is one example of how the village has been successful in cutting up an expensive project into smaller segments in order to win funding.  Godfrey Mayor Mike McCormick says he’d like to see Levis Lane improved but knows that will take more financial planning:
